When the fires swept across the Texas Panhandle, they didn’t just burn grassland — they tore through generations of work, family heritage, and the quiet pride of people who rarely ask for anything. Entire ranches were reduced to ash in a matter of hours. Fences that took decades to build are now twisted wire on blackened soil. Livestock wander scorched pastures searching for what used to be home.

And yet, even in the middle of this devastation, something powerful is happening. Neighbors are stepping up. Strangers are becoming family. People who have lost everything are still offering to help someone else.

Our mission is simple: meet these ranchers where they are, stand with them in their darkest hour, and rebuild what the fires tried to take.

Project One: Emergency Feed - Keeping Herds Alive When the Pasture Is Gone

When the grass disappears overnight, livestock have nothing. Ranchers watch the animals they’ve cared for their entire lives stand hungry in fields of ash. That’s why we partnered with a local feed mill willing to manufacture an all‑purpose livestock feed — safe for cattle, horses, and goats — at cost.

Every dollar donated becomes nourishment. Every ton shipped buys ranchers time to breathe, regroup, and begin again.

Project Two: Hay on the Move — From One Rancher’s Hands to Another’s

Across Northeast Texas, ranchers who still have hay are loading their trailers, knowing exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of that phone call. Volunteers are hooking up trucks, driving through the night, and delivering hope one bale at a time.

Some of the people receiving this hay have lost everything — their barns, their pastures, their winter feed, even their homes. When a truck pulls up with donated hay, it’s more than feed. It’s a reminder that they’re not alone.

Project Three: Rebuilding Fences — Restoring What the Fire Stole

A ranch without fences is a ranch that can’t function. After the fires, thousands of miles of fencing lay in ruins. Without them, cattle scatter, predators move in, and ranchers have no way to begin recovery.

So we’re bringing in volunteers — men and women from across the country — to rebuild these fences post by post, mile by mile. The work is hard, the days are long, and the cost of materials is staggering. But every stretch of new fence represents a step toward normalcy, a piece of someone’s life being put back together.
